The Danny's Series is the closest thing Chicago has to a reading series similar to the caliber of KGB or Cornelia Street Cafe in New York.  It is a bar venue as opposed to a theatre venue (Like the Discrete Series). Danny's has had some excellent readers including, Peter Gizzi, Mark Strand, John Beer, Ray Bianchi, Arielle Greenberg, Dan Beachy-Quick and many others.
